The quilt that I am sharing today was actually made and quilted about a year ago, but it one of my favorites.
This quilt was designed by Holly A. for Sew Original-Winston Salem, NC for the Quilt Carolina Shop Hop 2013.
When Sew Original told me that the quilt was ready to be quilted...Holly had told them to call me, that I would know what to do with all the white space.. Oh, do I ever....feathers! of course!!
I started this quilt in the cormers with the feathers..I knew I wanted to put feathers there, so why not just start with that!
Then I added some straight line work in. I almost did feathers again in that area but then changed my mind. I thought the line work would add more dimension to the quilt.
And then the quilt was finished!
I had my daughter hold the quilt up at the front door so the light would show the quilting better.
And, of course! A picture of the back of the quilt.
Close up of the back.
I was happy when I was working on this quilt and had fun quilting it......and that my "quilty friends" is what it is all about!
Happy Quilting!
Gina
