A Rainbow Lollipops Quilt for Riley!

Hello Quilty Friends!

Today I will be sharing about a beautiful quilt that my friend, Debbie L. made for her grand-daughter, Riley.  This quilt is using the pattern "Rainbow Lollipops" by Don't Look Now

As soon as I saw the quilt, I knew I wanted to do a fun and kind of whimsical quilting on it.

Added in some pearls (I admit, I am not a pebble or pearl person) But it made a great background fill!

I added a little quilting to the machine applique.
There are three panels quilted like this and there are two panels that I did a crosshatch for the background fill.

(I see that I need to work on my photo taking abilities) Now that I have my blog, I will start doing better with better lighting when taking pics.

Debbie did a wonderful job of making the quilt top. She entered her quilt in the local Forsyth Piecers and Quilters Quilt Show in May and she was awarded the Blue Ribbon for her category!

I wish I had taken a pic of Debbie when she saw her quilt when I had finished it. That is my favorite part, to see "that" look when they love what you have done with their quilt!

I am happy and had fun quilting this quilt.....and that my "quilty friends" is what it is all about!
Happy Quilting!
Gina

  1. It is such an adorable quilt; brought to life by your extraordinary quilting! I am sure that Riley adores it just as much as her grandmother who made it for her. Well done!
